Below is a summary of the service's key user rights. Please also refer to the full terms of use.

Authorised users

Students and staff of Metropolia, as well as library walk-in users.

Permitted use

Individual articles or journals have separate terms of use, which may differ from the ones mentioned here. Always check the terms at the end of each article!

Users are generally allowed to:

  • use the resource solely for the purpose of education, teaching, private study, and research.
  • browse and perform searches
  • print or save search results in moderation for private study and research
  • incorporate parts of the resource into course packs or learning environments by linking to the service. Do not share saved documents. Some publishers and journals, such as Harvard Business Review, do not even allow linking!

Prohibited use

User are not allowed to:

  • use the resource, or parts of it, for commercial purposes. Any commercial use is strictly prohibited.
  • distribute, sell or adapt the resource, neither produce derivative works nor pass on the material to anyone other than an individual with the right to have access to it
  • systematically copy or print material, nor republish the material
  • remove or alter the names of the authors of the material or the publisher’s copyright markings, nor any other identification data and restrictions
  • create links to Harvard Business Review articles.
