Library Services

Metropolia library

Metropolia Library is one of the 3AMK libraries. The customer register and the collection of printed materials are shared with the Haaga-Helia and Laurea libraries. The library services are designed specifically for Metropolia students and staff. Some materials and services are only available to our own students and staff.

However, the library is open to anyone who is looking for reliable information.

We provide

  • up-to-date collections for your professional needs
  • information resources available in the library or 24/7 online
  • new comfortable spaces with extensive opening hours
  • professional assistance
  • information skills training

We follow the national practices and recommendations of higher education libraries. The library's operations are evaluated annually.

LibGuides

LibGuides is an online service that provides information on library services and electronic resources.

We have two types of guides: General and Subject Guides.

  • From the General Guides you will find information on library services, such as e-books or e-resources in teaching.
  • From the Subject Guides you will find materials on your field of study, and tips for information seeking. Login to the databases with your Metropolia id, and you can use the e-materials anywhere.

All library databases are found in the LibGuides E-resources A–Z list.

Print and copy

Metropolia students and staff can use devices in the campuses for printing, scanning and copying. The devices are managed by IT Services. If the devices malfunction, contact HelpDesk.
