Ebsco eBooks

Multidisciplinary collection of e-books. E-books can be found via MetCat Finna or you can browse Ebsco eBooks. On the platform the books can be browsed at the top of the page (click "eBooks").

Read

You can read an e-book directly in a browser with Ebsco reader by clicking PDF Full Text or EPUB Full Text -link.

If the book is not read for 30 minutes, the book closes automatically.

Download

Many e-books (PDF or  EPUB) can be downloaded onto your computer or mobile device. Required reader: Adobe Digital Editions

The possibility to download varies per title, not all books can be downloaded. These books can be read online.

For downloading you need a My Ebscohost account: create an account by clicking "Sign-in" in Ebsco.

When you have a My Ebscohost account:

• Download file to you device by clicking Full Download.
• Choose Download duration (1- 7 days) and Download format
• Open the file or save it to your device.

Printing and copying for personal use is permitted. Printing and copying varies from title to title, check what is allowed by clicking the book title in Ebsco eBooks.

License

For Metropolia students and staff. You can read e-books without a My EbscoHost account. If you wish to use Ebsco e-book features (e.g. downloading e-books, adding notes to e-books), create a My EbscoHost account.

Restrictions vary from title to title: mainly 1-3 concurrent users. Use may be prevented if an e-book is already on loan
